Copa Futuro enters round of 16 in Santos

Wednesday promises to be long and full of good games at the Future Tennis Cup – Year 2023, which takes place on the clay courts of Tênis Clube de Santos. No less than 60 games are scheduled.

The round will start at 8 am and will have the round of 16 of the 12 and 14 year olds, male and female categories, and the 16 year old male category, in addition to the opening of the 16 year old female category and the second round of the 18 year old male category. Several tennis players among the top 20 in the national ranking will be on the court.

This Tuesday, the men’s group of 16 saw the first surprise: the fall of number 17 in the country and seed 2, São Paulo’s Filipe Bullamah, surpassed by Eduardo Trovo with partials of 7/5 and 6/1. The favorite Breno Bergantin , 14th in the ranking, overcame Cauã Coimbra, by 6/3 and 6/2, and Luca Laurindo confirmed the condition of head 3 by taking João Butolo, 6/3 and 6/1.

About 250 tennis players from Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Tocantins participate in the fifth edition of the Cup.

The Future Tennis Cup – Year 2023 is sponsored by Colgate, through the São Paulo State Sports Incentive Law of the Government of the State of São Paulo/State Sports Department. It is organized by the Esperança do Amanhã Institute, with seals from the Brazilian Tennis Confederation and the São Paulo Tennis Federation. Support from Ipanema Dairy and Convip.
