In the 2022-23 season, LeBron James could become the greatest scorer in NBA history . However, in an interview, Luka Doncic was asked if he would try to match James’ record.
However, the Slovenian athlete dismissed the possibility and took the opportunity to praise the rival. Being still very young, Luka probably saw many LeBron games before joining the league and for that, he has great respect.
“There is always a possibility, but it will be very difficult (playing 20 years in the NBA ). Being a guy who plays for 20 years the way LeBron maintains his body is tough. So without basketball skills , it’s very difficult to maintain that body. You can say there’s no way, because I’m not playing much. But it’s amazing to see him. It’s his 20th season and he’s scoring 30 or 40 points every night,” Doncic stated.
LeBron James is only 433 points away from surpassing Abdul-Jabbar, averaging 29.1 points per game, James can reach that mark this season. Certainly, it will be an almost unreachable record that will be obtained by LeBron.
