Osaka is the highest paid female athlete of 2022 according to Forbes, Serena Williams is 2nd

Four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka of Japan has become the highest paid female athlete of 2022 according to Forbes magazine, according to the publication’s website.

The tennis player earned $51.1 million in a year, of which $1.1 million went to her as prize money, the remaining $50 million came from off-court commercial activities.

The full top 10 highest paid female athletes in the world are as follows:

  1. Serena Williams (USA, tennis) – 41.3 million (0.3 + 41);
  2. Eiling Gu (China, freestyle) – 20.1 million (0.1 + 20);
  3. Emma Radukanu (Great Britain, tennis) – 18.7 million (0.7 + 18);
  4. Iga Sventek (Poland, tennis) – 14.9 million (9.9 + 5.0);
  5. Venus Williams (USA, tennis) – 12.1 million (0.1 + 12);
  6. Corey Gauff (USA, tennis) – 11.1 million (3.1 + 8);
  7. Simone Biles (USA, gymnastics) – 10 million (0 + 10);
