Roller hockey: Sporting overcomes the scare and triumphs in Parede and Tomar defeats Valongo

An hour after the match between FC Porto and Benfica – which the dragons won (3-0) and took the opportunity to rise to the lead -, Sporting started to win in the visit to Parede, with a goal by Ferran Font in the repetition of a direct free-kick .

But the men of the house responded for Rafa and took equality to rest. On his way back from the locker room, Ze Costa signed the turnaround with a direct free-kick , but the leonine response was immediate with two goals in a minute by Toni Perez . The same Ze Costa equalized again , reloading a new direct free kick.

With the 3-3 on the scoreboard and six minutes from time, João Souto made it 3-4 and, punishing the hosts’ 10th foul, Nolito Romero made the final 3-5 that leaves Sporting in third place in the Championship Nacional, one point behind Benfica and two behind leader FC Porto, at the end of the first round.

At the bottom of the table, highlights for the defeat suffered by the red light Paço de Arcos in the visit to the fourth classified Oquei de Barcelos (10-0) and for a new home defeat by Juventude de Viana with Famalicense (2-5).

Oliveirense , on the other hand, in the hungover elimination of the Portuguese Cup, beat the also eliminated Riba D’Ave (0-2) and while Tomar reinforced the seventh place by beating Valongo by 5-1.
